If you are a fan of chicken, then 2021 is shaping up to be a wonderful year for. We have heard big news from some of the biggest players in the game. KFC announced their new Chicken Sandwich that they are calling their best ever. Chick-Fil-A has announced their new Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich. Even Taco Bell is rumored to shake things up in the world of Chicken. Now, McDonald’s has announced the return of the Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Mighty Hot Sauce.
We first saw McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets back in September 2020. While McDonald’s has upgraded their iconic McNuggets over the years by adding various dipping sauces and removing artificial flavors and preservatives, the launch of the Spicy McNuggets marked the first-ever flavor change since they were introduced back in 1983. The Spicy McNuggets saw tremendous success at launch and was an instant hit with fans but unfortunately, they quickly vanished off McDonald’s menus. Much to fans’ delight, the Spicy McNuggets will return on February 1st, 2021.
For those who missed last year’s launch or those who just need a refresher: McDonald’s Spicy McNuggets come breaded with a tempura coating made of cayenne and chili peppers to give that spicy kick. For those who are seeking even more of a spicy kick, McDonald’s Might Hot Sause was sure to get the job done. McDonald’s Might Hot Sause comprises a blend of crushed red pepper and cayenne peppers with added garlic and sweetness to help boost flavor. In a press release, McDonald’s indicated that the Mighty Hot Sause was the company’s first new sause since 2017.
Both the Spicy McNuggets and McDonald’s Mighty Hot Sauce will return to participating locations nationwide from February 1st for a limited time only.
