A&W Menu With Prices

A&W is a fast food restaurant chain that’s known for having their own brand of draft root beer. It is one of the oldest food franchise companies. A&W prices are competitive with the rest of the fast food industry.

Although A&W sells burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and frozen treats, most people go there for their famous A&W Root Beer. As shown below, they also sell their root beer in a half-gallon size. A&W initially started as a root beer stand before expanding into a full-size restaurant.

However for $28.00 we could of had a steak ! They must have made a mistake ! Please clarify as they did not give a receipt to break down amount . We ordered one teen burger combo and one double teen combo plus one extra double teen only! Please email me the break down price of each!

“A&W prices are competitive with rest of the fast food industry.”…….$4.99 for a cheeseburger, etc……..what a joke….. their food is good but its not that good….if im gonna spend close to $50.00 for a family of four to eat out im sure as hell not spending it on overpriced fast food.

  3. I’ve never eaten at A&W before, but one thing I know for sure. I like cats.

  4. I bought my daughter 5 chicken strips, onion rings and a regular 7up as a combo. It cost 17$. Seriously? I don’t find that “competitive”.

    1. In Penticton the price for a Mama burger with Fries and a coffee is $10. There is no discount for Seniors ( we’re close to 90 ) it’s confusing to look at the menu and the prices to figure out the best deal on a limited budget without looking like a cheapskate in a crowd.

The real competition is quality. If you want cheap go to McDonalds!

Even they are getting expensive now!

the coupon price for 3 stops combo is 6.99 I can’t believe it’s that much more for 5 without the coupon.

Thought I’d research the A&W coffee online to compare with McDonalds; with the current giveaway I see A&W has indeed improved on their previous blend and I think it’s quality now competes with McD. The question is — at what price and in what formats?

So I’ve spent 15 minutes searching reference sites (and the A&W online menus) to answer the to most salient questions:

    1. What sizes of coffee are sold, and
    2. At what price?

I’ve been unable to answer either of these. I drink an XL McDs or Tim Hortons daily. When I drove through to get my free A&W brew they asked what size and I said “the largest you serve”. I was given a cup whose contents I would estimate as being slightly less than a McDs L but definitely more than a M. But nowhere close to an XL.

So then as to price … the best I’ve got is on the A&W site it says “prices vary by location”. Certainly nothing indicating price by size.

So I’ll likely buy a L or two to compare, but my general rule of thumb is “if they don’t advertise prices, they’re no match for their competition”. I’d like to be pleasantly surprised on this count.

The giveaway for a trial period was smart marketing. Failing to ensure menu and price information is easily accessible for those who habitually compare was not.

You can Google the menus of all the fast food places. I havnt been to BBK or A@W since moving here in 1990. My favorite is Subway. But, I look at the menu before I leave home and order accordingly. Hope this helps. I love Taco Bell but they both short changed me in the drive up. It was too busy to argue about it so I just wont go back to McDonalds. The burger was also tasteless and they didnt even put catsup in the bag.

  8. I was just charged 5.78 for two large waters in the drive through. 😂
