Sonic’s Purple Sprite tastes just as refreshing – and sugary! – as it sounds. And if you’ve never seen the beverage on the menu, it’s because the specialty drink is a part of the Sonic Secret Menu. There’s nothing secret about it, though. We’re going to share all there is to know about this citrusy, vibrant drink – even how you can get one for half off.
How To Order the Sonic Secret Menu Purple Sprite
Sonic’s Secret Menu Purple Sprite is known around the country by a few different names. In addition to the one we’ve already talked about, you can find it referred to as the Purple O or Purple Passion. But regardless of what you choose to call it, the ingredients are always the same – Sprite with Lemonade, Powerade, & Cranberry Juice. Sure, you can whip up this virgin cocktail at home in no time, but there’s something exhilarating about ordering something from a menu that technically doesn’t exist.
So, how do you order this purple fizz?
This is a fairly popular secret menu item, so you can get away with ordering it by name. When doing so, there’s always a slight chance that you’ll be talking to a newbie who’s never heard of such a thing. If this is the case, ignore the weird looks and just explain to them what goes into the drink – a regular Sprite with a little bit of lemonade, Powerade, & Cranberry Juice. If it doesn’t come out a gorgeous shade of purple, they did it wrong.
Most Sonic locations will just charge you what they would for a regular soda, so $1.19 for a small, $1.69 for a medium, $1.89 for a large, and $2.09 for a Route 44 (yes, you can get your hands on a Purple Sprite slushy!).
