D.P. Dough is an American chain of calzone restaurants. They started in Amherst, MA., but they’ve spread to dozens of college towns across the country.

And, yes, if you were wondering… they’re located mostly in college towns. Because it’s pretty obvious once you think about it.

D.P. dough is named after their two founders; Doug and his mom, Penny.

Their entire selling point is their unique dough recipe the owners made. That and the fact that they only make calzones – no pizza here. So if you want the best calzone ever, you really need to go to the people who actually specialize in calzones; D.P. Dough.
