Chili’s Honey Chipotle Sauce

Some meals just aren’t the same without your favorite dipping sauce to go with them. While some restaurants’ sauces are top secret, some of them can be either duplicated or modified to taste pretty close to the original. Now you can bring the sweet smokey flavor of your favorite Chili’s Honey Chipotle Sauce to your table with this simple recipe. In just seven minutes, you’ll have a delicious sauce perfect for dipping your chicken crispers or tortilla chips in. You can either serve it warm or chill it in an airtight container before serving. You can also freeze portions of it to save for future meals.

To keep this recipe simple, we use ground chipotle chili pepper powder, but if you happen to have a couple of chipotle chilis in adobo sauce, you could pulse them in a blender and add them to the rest of the ingredients. This sauce has a nice smokey spice, but it’s not too heavy on the heat which gives it a sweet and savory flavor combination. If you’re pouring this sauce over a dish instead of dipping it, you can thin it by adding a bit more honey and water to get the consistency you’re looking for. We think you’ll enjoy it.
