While we love Taco Bell for being the best fast food joint for late-night drunk munchies (while your sober and caring friend drives your inebriated self there, of course), we also kind of love their breakfast (our review is below).
Taco Bell officially launched its breakfast menu nationwide in March 2014, supported by the brand’s largest marketing campaign in its history. McDonald’s has historically taken the lead on fast food breakfast, and others have followed suit, but Taco Bell was one of the first chains to launch a new breakfast menu to be both successful and profitable within one year. It now accounts for more than 10% of their sales.
Taco Bell’s breakfast menu is a tasty morning secret waiting to be discovered. It’s a fun twist on the regular breakfast with both traditional breakfast items along with items that are uniquely Taco Bell, to kickstart your day. From the satisfying Breakfast Crunchwrap to the hearty Breakfast Burrito, each bite brings a burst of that unique Taco Bell flavor. If you’re tired of the same old morning routine, Taco Bell’s breakfast menu is here to make your mornings deliciously different.
Take a peek at what Taco Bell’s breakfast offerings have in store below, and you’ll find that they’ve got your morning cravings covered.

Inspiration
Taco Bell wanted to offer a value breakfast menu, and with half of their items priced at only $1, we’d say they’ve succeeded. The franchise may have been relatively late to the breakfast game, as they sat back and watched some of their competition forge the way. After seeing what worked and what didn’t, they launched their breakfast menu and have been tweaking as they go along. Some menu items have come and gone, such as the Waffle Taco, but other delicious items remain, like the Biscuit Taco and the Grande Scrambler.
Types of Taco Bell Breakfasts
There’s something for everyone on the Taco Bell Breakfast menu. If you’re looking for something sweet, there’s the Cinnabon Delights. If you’re craving something filling and savory, choose from several breakfast burritos or Crunchwrap options. And if you’re looking for a bit of Tex Mex mixed with southern comfort food, try one of the Taco Biscuits.
Taco Bell Breakfast Menu Review
These are the most common items you’ll find on Taco Bell’s Breakfast Menu.

Breakfast Crunchwraps – A crispy hash brown base, scrambled eggs, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and a “special” sauce are all piled on a burrito-sized flour tortilla that is folded and toasted on a griddle.
Toasted Breakfast Burritos – These are made with a warm, flour tortilla filled with fluffy eggs, warm nacho cheese sauce, and your choice of bacon or sausage, wrapped up and grilled.
Breakfast Quesadillas – These crispy quesadillas are grilled flour tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, steak, or sausage and cheese.
Cinnabon Delights – Hot little donut holes filled with warm icing, these come in a pack of 2, 4 or 12.
Hash browns – Crunchy, potato hash browns, cooked to perfection.
Premium Hot and Cold Coffees – Hot or Iced American roast coffee to wake you up and get you going.
1. Taste and Texture [5/5]
Each breakfast item delivers what you might expect from Taco Bell – savory flavors, satisfying textures, a good mix of both fresh and cooked ingredients, and filling portions. You can choose from several filling options, including meat or vegetarian options, and because each meal is made to order, you can make your meal exactly how you want it.
2. Nutrition Facts – Is it Healthy? [3/5]
Fast food breakfast doesn’t necessarily have to be complicated, expensive, or full of saturated fats. It can be full of protein and low on calories. In fact, Taco Bell’s grilled breakfast burrito is under 350 calories and boasts 10 grams of protein, making it a satisfying start to your day. About 75% of Taco Bell’s menu is under 500 calories, and some breakfast items are even vegetarian-friendly.
3. Are they Worth it? [5/5]
With filling portions, various options, fresh ingredients, decent prices, and a Tex-Mex flair, Taco Bell’s breakfast menu is definitely worth it. Plus, you can find a Taco Bell location just about anywhere, so you likely won’t have to travel far to get your hands on a Breakfast Crunchwrap.
Final Verdict
Having breakfast options available besides some of the more traditional fast-food restaurants is a big plus. I love Tex-Mex for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks, so this is a big plus for me. Besides that, a lot of fast-food chains stop serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m., and Taco Bell continues serving until 11 a.m. – perfect for a quick brunch to-go.
