Wienerschnitzel was founded in 1961 in Wilmington, California, by John Galardi. The first location of Wienerschnitzel was a hot dog stand and that location is still open to this day.

Because the restaurant primarily serves hot dogs, Wienerschnitzel prices are usually inexpensive. Many of the food items can be purchased for under $2 each.

  1. Do you serve just Plain hot dogs ??????

    1. Yes, they do! You just have to specify that you want it that way. You, simply, tell them “plain hot dog” and they’ll do it.

  2. I am not sure I will eat here again, location# 032.
    Service was less than friendly.
    Order was wrong.
    Long waiting period.
    Pricing different than advertised online.
Out-door seating only…….. careful of the WIND & bird stuff.

Hahha, you know this isnt an official website for ANY of these restaurants right? They just post prices for their area to give you an idea. And prices are different in EVERY state, just by a few cents. Of course they arent gonna be the same.. And dude, wienerschnitzel is SUPPOSED to be a drive thru, im pretty sure its been outdoor seating only since it was established, all it is is a kitchen with a window, where do you expect to sit? Theyre all like that haha

      1. The Wienerschnitzel in Redding, Ca has had a regular sit down dining room for about 40 years. It’s about the size of a smaller McDonald’s dining room.

Chilicheese, before you act like you know it all, you should do a little fact checking to see if you really do.

        1. The orginal Wienerschnitzel in most of southern california was a double sided building with a drive thru in the middle. sit down was outside. I’ve been around for 69 years. Im in Redding all the time too. My daughter loves it there. I’ll have to check it out. Check out Bethel too; Its a wonderful church.

  3. I love you guys! On the way to Weiner for the $.61 hot dogs. Keep up the great job.

  4. Wienerschnitzel Restaurant doesn’t serve wienerschnitzel. They sounds kind of weird. Why do they call the restaurant by a name of a food they don’t serve ?

    1. Oops…….that post got messed up. Try “that sounds kind of weird”.

  7. We went to the Garvey location in south El Monte. The service was horrible. We ordered 4 plain chili dogs and 2 small fry’s. It came to 20.00 dollars.. For hot dogs. And there was hardly any chili on the dogs. When I told them that. They said I could by a can of chili for 5.00 dollars. I’m done with them

  8. 20.00 dollars for 4 Chile dogs and 2 small fry’s was expensive. Hardly any chili on the dogs, and the service was horrible. Garvey location in south El monte
