Friendly’s is an American restaurant that was founded in 1935 by S. Prestley Blake and Curtis Blake. The first restaurant was opened in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Blake brothers’ first business was just an ice cream shop, which was called Friendly’s.
There are approximately 167 Friendly’s restaurants across the United States. The restaurant serves a variety of flavors of ice cream, burgers, salads, entrees, and more. The restaurants’ opening hours are from Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friendly’s usually offers free refills to customers for soft drinks, iced tea, and coffee during and after meals. Usually, the restaurant also runs promotions like TGI Fridays where customers can receive free refills on other beverages like slushies. The restaurant has a variety of gluten-free options on their menu, including some ice creams.
Friendly’s vows to keep the environment of their restaurant a warm and welcoming so families can come together to have fun and enjoy their meals and ice cream. The restaurant also seeks to work with the community at large by asking its customers to pick one person which will receive a free restaurant party at any time of their choice or at any Friendly’s location.
