Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, and form it into four patties. Heat a skillet to medium-high heat, and cook the meat for two to three minutes per side. While cooking, add a dash of salt to the patties.
Lightly spread butter on the hamburger buns and toast them on the skillet until lightly browned. Then set them aside.
Build the burger by placing the hamburger patty on the bottom bun. Then add 3 or 4 dill pickle slices, 3 or 4 onion ring slices, a handful of sliced iceberg lettuce, and 2 to 3 tomato slices. Squirt a small amount of ketchup onto the burger, spread mayonnaise onto the top bun, and place the top bun onto the burger. Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
This recipe tastes better if you use fresh ground beef, not frozen. If you only have frozen ground beef, be sure to thaw it in the refrigerator overnight first.
