Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 sesame hamburger buns
  • 12 pickle slices
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 4 tbsp mayo
  • 1/2 sliced white onion
  • 1/2 head of sliced icebrg lettuce

Instructions

  • Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, and form it into four patties. Heat a skillet to medium-high heat, and cook the meat for two to three minutes per side. While cooking, add a dash of salt to the patties.
  • Lightly spread butter on the hamburger buns and toast them on the skillet until lightly browned. Then set them aside.
  • Build the burger by placing the hamburger patty on the bottom bun. Then add 3 or 4 dill pickle slices, 3 or 4 onion ring slices, a handful of sliced iceberg lettuce, and 2 to 3 tomato slices. Squirt a small amount of ketchup onto the burger, spread mayonnaise onto the top bun, and place the top bun onto the burger. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • This recipe tastes better if you use fresh ground beef, not frozen. If you only have frozen ground beef, be sure to thaw it in the refrigerator overnight first.
