Taco John’s was founded in 1969 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, by James Woodson and Harold W. Holmes. They purchased the previous restaurant called “Taco House” which was founded a year earlier. Currently, there are over 400 restaurant locations in 25 states.

Although Taco John’s are mainly situated in smaller Midwestern towns, they do cross paths with their competitors in some places. Like their competitors, Taco John’s prices are priced for everyone. The menu has many items that range from $2-3 and full meals can be had for $5-7.

I am an employee at taco johns. The taco burger is no longer being discontinued however this decision was made after the new menus shipped out so they are no longer on the menu. They can still be ordered however. I hope this helps.

Prices do vary from store to store. Especially non corporate. Please do not herass employees over “online prices” if the menu says otherwise. This is why there are no prices on the official company site.

  4. Are mexi rolls being brought back to taco johns???

  5. R Neether says:

I just had a super potato ole for lunch and I was soooooo disappointed. There was no more than 1/4 cup of taco meat. No more than 2 tablespoons of refried beans, no onion or black olives either. Just a dash of sour cream and quac. However, there were loads of potatoes. The meal was over $7 (quite pricey for potatoes). I will not be eating there again. It certainly is not what it used to be before the old owners sold it.
