There’s no reason not to celebrate Taco Tuesday this week because Taco Bell is handing out free Doritos Locos Tacos to customers who visit the drive-thru today, April 14. There is no purchase necessary, and each customer is allowed one free taco.
Taco Bell first started giving away Doritos Locos Tacos for free a couple of weeks ago on March 31 as a way to celebrate their customers during this difficult time. Per a letter from the Taco Bell CEO, Mark King, “It’s a small way for us to say thank you for the ways you’re showing up for your communities and our chance to give you a little TLC during this time.”
Taco Bell will also be expanding its free delivery deal for the foreseeable future (eligible on orders of $12 or more) through Grubhub. The company has also announced that it will be delivering food to people on the frontlines of the pandemic including healthcare workers and first responders, as well as teachers and grocery store employees via their Taco Trucks. Taco Bell will be donating $1 million to No Kid Hungry, as well as offering customers the opportunity to donate to the organization upon checkout. Along with these efforts, the franchise is dedicated to donating leftover food to local communities.
