Taco Bell is bringing back the $1 Double Stacked Tacos this winter season. The fast-food restaurant has made the announcement that the return of the $1 Double Stacked Tacos will be available at select locations in the United States on December 26, 2019, and only for a limited time.
Taco Bell’s $1 Double Stacked Tacos will be available in three different flavors, which are the Nacho Crunch, new Chipotle Cheddar, and new Reaper Ranch. Each Taco is made up of seasoned beef, lettuce, and cheese stuffed in a tortilla, then a firm taco shell and filled with a melted nacho cheese which makes it less messy.
The Nacho Crunch filling contains strips of red tortilla, while the new Chipotle Cheddar contains a Chipotle sauce, and the new Reaper Ranch includes a creamy ranch sauce. Patrons who get Taco Bell’s $1 Double Stacked Tacos will have the option to purchase it a la carte or as a $5 Chalupa Box. The Chalupa Box is comprised of one Double Stacked Taco, one Chalupa Supreme, one crunchy taco, and a medium fountain drink.
The fast-food restaurant previously released the $1 Double Stacked Tacos in December of 2016, and it was quite a success. Per a press release, Melissa Friebe, Senior Vice President, Brand Marketing and Consumer Insights at Taco Bell said, “It’s more important than ever before that we give fans the crave-able food they not only want, but can afford, and we’ve built our menu with some of our most innovative items from $1 to $5 to ensure there is something for everyone. Committing to the $1 is a priority for us and we’re excited to bring back the hugely popular Double Stacked Tacos.”
