Starbucks Pink Drink Recipe

The copycat Starbucks Pink Drink features a base of acai berry tea, blended with white grape juice, and coconut milk. It’s wow factor comes from the strawberry pieces added in at the end, and for just a touch of added sweetness, you can add as much (or as little) agave nectar as you’d like.

The best part about making a copycat Starbucks Pink Drink at home is that you can customize the recipe however you want (don’t worry – I won’t be offended if you change up the ingredients to suit your taste). For instance, if you want something super sweet, you can use sweetened coconut milk rather than unsweetened. This recipe calls for simple sugar, but you can swap that our for other sweeteners in your pink drink, like Splenda, honey, agave nectar, or Stevia.

As for milk, you can also use an alternative milk if you don’t like the taste of coconut milk. People have told me they like soy milk for a creamier, rich flavor. Others have tried almond milk for a nuttier taste. And now, everyone’s into oat milk, so if that’s your thing, let me know how it tastes. Starbucks Pink Drink Recipe

Pink Drink Ingredients

The ingredients in this copycat Starbucks Pink Drink are easy to find at any grocery store. Feel free to use your favorite brands – this is your creation!

  • 4 servings acai berry green tea
  • 2 cups coconut milk (either unsweetened or sweetened coconut, depending on your preferences)
  • 1/2 cup white grape juice
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup

Pink Drink Directions

Creating this Copycat Starbucks Pink Drink should around take 15 minutes total.

  • Start by preparing the acai berry green tea. Boil water. Steep one cup of boiling water with the four acai berry green tea packets according to the directions on the box.
  • Once the tea is prepared, pour it into a small glass pitcher or carafe.
  • Measure out white grape juice and combine into the pitcher with the tea.
  • Add two cups (or desired amount) of coconut milk.
  • Add simple syrup or preferred sweetener to the pitcher, stir until completely blended.
  • Wash and slice up 10-12 strawberries vertically, removing the leafy top of the strawberries. Add to tea mixture.
  • I recommend chilling for at least an hour to ensure the mixture has enough time to cool down completely. However, if you want to serve immediately, fill a couple of glasses with ice and pour.
  • If you have any leftovers, put them in the fridge.

Notes

  • Don’t like strawberries? Make the Pink Drink a Blue Drink, or a Purple Drink! I’d love to hear about your experiments with swapping out the strawberries for a different berry.
  • Double the recipe to have plenty of leftovers. Just add to a pitcher and keep refrigerated. Drink within 2-3 days for maximum freshness.
  • For a jolt of intense berry flavor, you can mix in some of a Starbucks VIA Berry Hibiscus Refresher packet (not the whole thing).
  • I normally don’t use simple syrup in my recipes, as I prefer to use more natural sweeteners like Stevia or agave nectar. However, the Starbucks Pink Drink is really sweet when you order it in-stores, so this was the closest way to replicate it without having to add half a bottle of agave or 10 packets of Stevia.
