Taco Bell has always been known for its delectable variety of Tex-Mex cuisine, and since it was founded in 1962, the fast food chain has grown to more than 6,500 restaurants in the United States and around the world. When you think of Mexican food that’s fast, affordable, and delicious, you think of Taco Bell. But while the restaurant is synonymous to tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other Tex-Mex fare, it has never been known for breakfast. Until now.
You’ll never look at breakfast the same way again
On March 27, 2014, Taco Bell rolled out its breakfast menu, capturing a market that craves for quick service breakfast meals that are tasty and delicious. Many fast food chains offer a breakfast menu, and this is a market that Taco Bell couldn’t really tap before.
But Taco Bell has now found a way to infuse classic breakfast staples such as bacon, eggs, sausages and hash browns into its signature Tex-Mex offerings, and the result is astounding. Imagine getting your usual Taco Bell orders but with that unique breakfast taste. You’ll never look at breakfast the same way again. And your mornings will now always be something to look forward to.
Innovating the classics
Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu basically offers the usual items that has made Taco Bell famous – but with a breakfast twist. So imagine your favorite Crunchwrap, with its warm flour tortilla and fillings, but this time filled with the goodness that only breakfast can bring. The A.M. Crunchwrap is basically your warm flour tortilla with scrambled eggs, melted cheese, a hash brown, and oh yes, the bacon. You can also substitute the bacon with sausage or steak.
These slight innovations may seem simple because they don’t really require an overhaul in the equipment, but the items are really making a statement and giving other fast food restaurants with typical breakfast offerings a run for their money. Because with Taco Bell, you don’t just get breakfast meals the way you usually get them. The Tex-Mex flavor and elements (i.e. tortilla) really give the items an edge.
Spice up your morning routine
With the breakfast goodness Taco Bell is offering, customers can spice up their usual morning routine and enjoy something different from the breakfast meals they’re used to. Here’s what you can expect from Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu:
Waffle Taco: Sausage or Bacon
Taco Bell may be known for its tacos, but its breakfast variety is even better – the taco comes in a waffle! Imagine a sausage patty (alternative: bacon) wrapped in a warm waffle and topped with cheese and fluffy eggs scrambled to perfection. Just add a touch of sweet syrup, and you have the perfect formula for an unforgettable breakfast.
A.M. Crunchwrap: Sausage, Bacon or Steak
The breakfast version of the Crunchwrap comes in a grilled warm tortilla and in your choice of sausage, bacon or steak. But what makes it extra special, aside from the fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy hash brown and cheddar cheese, is the special jalapeno sauce that gives it that signature Taco Bell kick.
Breakfast Burrito: Sausage or Bacon
Taco Bell fans are familiar with the burrito, but imagine biting into a flavorful mix of fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheddar cheese, and bacon (or sausage) bits all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.
Steak and Egg Burrito
A variation to the breakfast burrito, it still comes with the flour tortilla, the eggs, and the cheese, but it also comes with a marinated premium thick cut steak and that special creamy jalapeno sauce. You’re surely in for a treat.
A.M. Grilled Taco: Sausage or Bacon
Your warm tortilla is folded in half and grilled to perfection, but inside it is a special mix of scrambled eggs, melted cheese and sausage or bacon bits.
Sausage Flatbread Melt
Imagine your flavorful sausage patty wrapped in warm flatbread together with melted cheddar cheese – then grilled to bring out those wonderful breakfast tastes.
Those who want a light snack or some dessert can opt for the bite-sized pastries (they come in 12s) filled with Cinnabon frosting and with that amazing cinnamon taste you’d keep coming back for.
A breakfast staple that is infused in some of the items in the menu, you can also order a separate hash brown as a side.
Hot Coffee or Tropicana Orange Juice
To complete your breakfast meal, you can choose between the wonderful taste of freshly brewed coffee and refreshing orange juice.
Now that Taco Bell has all of these offerings for breakfast, mornings are truly more interesting and it’s easier to be on the go. Breakfast lovers everywhere, as well as avid Taco Bell customers, will now have a reason to wake up and go to a Taco Bell store, just to get their share of these unique flavors and start the day right.
