Per a news release, SVP Product Innovation at Papa John’s Paul Fabre said, “The Papadia is inspired by the ‘piadina,’ an Italian folded flatbread sandwich from Northern Italy. It combines the original Papa John’s crust people crave along with fresh toppings, making it the best of both worlds – it’s both a pizza and a sandwich.”

Papa John’s Papadia Sandwiches can be ordered in four varieties. These include:

  • Italian – This pizza sandwich is stuffed with Alfredo sauce, spicy Italian sausage, salami, mozzarella cheese, and banana peppers, served with pizza sauce.
  • Philly Cheesesteak – This Papadia is stuffed with slices of Philly steak, onions, green peppers, mozzarella cheese, and Philly sauce,  served with garlic sauce.
  • Grilled BBQ Chicken and Bacon – This pizza sandwich is stuffed with grilled chicken, bacon, onions, mozzarella cheese, and tangy BBQ sauce, served with BBQ sauce.
  • Meatball Pepperoni – The meatball Papadia is filled with meatballs that have a peppery flavor, pepperoni, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning, served with pizza sauce.

Customers can visit the Papa John’s website to receive more information about ordering the Papadia.
