Panera Bread is next in line to start offering groceries to customers, shortly after both Moe’s Southwest Grill and California Pizza Kitchen announced they will be selling staple food items, as well. Panera Grocery will offer items like milk, yogurt, cream cheese, bread, blueberries, tomatoes, and avocado. Customers can place their grocery orders for delivery, and Panera promises to deliver the food within 40 minutes. Grocery items can also be ordered through Rapid Pickup or Drive Up, where customers can have the food handed to them at the restaurant’s door or at their car.
The restaurant chain hopes the new grocery delivery service will help keep its associates employed, while preventing any further Panera Bread locations from closing down during the pandemic.
If you plan on ordering groceries or baker items today, you can save some cash with a limited-time offer on orders of $15 or more. Save $5 when you use the promo code SAVEFIVE at checkout (drive-up orders only). To place an order, just visit the Panera website and select “order groceries.”
Similarly to Panera, California Pizza Kitchen is selling staple items like fresh produce, milk, meat, seafood, pasta, and more, while Moe’s Market is focusing more on bulk groceries like chicken, adobo chicken, steak, pork, ground beef, queso sauce, guacamole, rice, beans, salsa, cheese, chips, chipotle ranch sauce, and tortillas.
