The previous release of the Beyond Burger by the diner-style restaurant Denny’s was deemed a great success after launching in Los Angeles. On January 30, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Denny’s will be giving away a free Beyond Burger with the purchase of any beverage at all restaurants nationwide. In light of the Beyond Burger’s successful release, it will be sold at more than 1,700 Denny’s locations in the United States and Canada. In addition, Denny’s has also added the Beyond Burger to its permanent menu.
The release of the plant-based patty was a result of a partnership between Denny’s and Beyond Meat. Their ingredients used are completely plant-based with less saturated fat, no antibiotics, or added hormones. The process in which the meat is constructed comes from a variety of plant proteins, fats (coconut oil, cocoa butter, canola oil, and sunflower oil), minerals, carbohydrates, and water.
The Beyond Burger is made of a 100 percent plant-based patty, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pickles, American cheese, an All American sauce, topped with a multigrain bun. Dunkin’ also recently released a sandwich inspired by Snoop Dogg called the Beyond D-O Double G Sandwich. The Beyond D-O Double G Sandwich was also a collaboration between Beyond Meat and Dunkin’, which featured the company’s plant-based Beyond Sausage.
Per a press release, the chief brand officer for Denny’s, John Dillon said: “We could not be more excited to add the Beyond Burger to our permanent lineup of delicious, affordable menu options as we continue to innovate and expand our menu to meet evolving dietary preferences.”
