As coronavirus continues to spread throughout the world, Chipotle is stepping up to give back to those who are on the frontlines – the healthcare heroes. The franchise will be offering free burrito boxes to hospitals that fill out a registration form online by April 2, which also happens to be National Burrito Day. Hospitals can sign up to have up to 50 burritos delivered to their office or division during World Health Worker Week, April 6-10.
Chipotle and its delivery partner DoorDash plan to deliver nearly 50,000 free burritos to healthcare workers next week.
Per a news release, Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer said, “We want to express our extreme gratitude by fueling the frontline workers at healthcare facilities across the country with real food.” He continued, “It is our goal to bring joy and provide a little something extra for both the medical staff and our everyday guests.”
Craving Chipotle yet? The restaurant franchise is still offering free delivery on orders of $10 or more when you order on the Chipotle website or app. If you order on National Burrito Day, you’ll even get a free order of Queso Blanco when you order an entree.
