Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is testing two fully plant-based sandwiches, the Impossible Cheese Steak and the Impossible Meatball Sub. These plant-based sandwiches will only be available in certain locations in Las Vegas, including the Downtown Summerlin location at 11010 Lavender Hill Drive and the Aliante Parkway @ Nature Park location at 2620 Nature Park Drive, North Las Vegas.
Capriotti’s plant-based cheese steak came about with the assistance of Impossible Foods. The Impossible Cheese Steak Sandwich features a complete plant-based protein and includes Capriotti’s classic cheese steak ingredients – white American cheese, fried onions, and peppers. Keep in mind, this plant-based option will not be vegan unless it is ordered without cheese. Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is adding another plant-based sandwich to their menu, the Impossible Meatball Sandwich. The sandwich will be available at participating locartions around the country in 2020.
There are a number of other fast-food restaurants out there that offer plant-based sandwiches with Impossible Meat, including:
- White Castle – Impossible Sliders
- Burger King – Impossible Whopper
- McDonald’s – P.L.T. Burger (Plant Lettuce Tomato)
- Hard Rock Cafe – Impossible Burger
- Fatburger – Impossible Fatburger
In addition to Impossible Meat, there is another company that partners with restaurants to create plant-based menu options called Beyond Meat. Restaurants that serve Beyond meat menu are Del Taco witht he Beyond Taco and Dunkin’ with the Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. There are several other restaurants serving plant-based options, and you can expect to see new releases from Impossible Meat and Beyond Meat in 2020.
